Jubilation at Daisy Bank - 3 June

Daisy Bank Jubilee part supports Wales Air Ambulance

Plans for Daisy Bank's Jubilee Celebrations on 3rd June are coming together. There's going to be fun and games around the caravan park! It will kick off around 2pm with the chance to sign up your best friend for the Dog Show. Classes will include the Waggiest tail, Nicest eyes, Best puppy (under 18 months) and the best 'Old Timer' (strictly the canine variety) over 8 years.
There will be prizes for the best 'dressed' Jubilee caravan, a tombola stall and a 'bring and buy' for all your camping and caravanning paphanalia.
Everyone is will feel a little peckish from all the fun so we'll be serving cream teas in the garden afterwards.
All proceeds from the afternoon will go to the Welsh Air Ambulance. Do come and join us to support the wonderful life saving work the air ambulance crews do around Wales. Visit the Wales Air Ambulance here. Nicky and Mark.

Welshpool Festivals & Fairs in Wales

Welshpool is an attractive 'March' (market) town on one of the main routes into Wales from Shropshire so enjoys a rich heritage of fairs and festivals. There's plenty to do. Powys Castle and magnificent gardens are walking distance from Welshpool shopping centre. A selection of traditional shops selling local products intermix with national chains. Welshpool offers many places to eat and drink, or even picnic, along the restored Montgomery canal which flows through the town. Welshpool Festivals;

Bishops Castle Walking Festival 12-14 June

Walking the Shropshire Hills around Daisy Bank, Bishops Castle

Bishops Castle Walking Festival is one of the best walking events in the Shropshire Hills walking season.
A selection of walks is on offer, typically 8 miles in distance, led by experienced guides who will show you some of the stunning scenery around Bishops Castle and the Shropshire Hills you might not find for yourself. If this sounds a little too strenuous, you can still enjoy the Shropshire Hills from Daisy Bank Caravan Park. The Shropshire Way, Kerry Ridgeway and Offa's Dyke all pass close to our camping park near Bishops Castle. Click on the picture for details of the Bishops Castle Walking Festival routes.

Michaelmas Fair Bishops Castle 15-16 September

Our Michaelmas Fair has to be the best value weekend entertainment in Shropshire. All of Bishops Castle
is filled with music, exhibitions,

stalls and processions, This year's processions include steam traction engines, vintage vehicles (any classic campers?), dancing and candlelight; something for everyone! Bishop's Castle is a hillside market town in the Shropshire Hills, well-known for its breweries and locally produced food. The valley surrounding Daisy Bank Caravan Park looks stunning in September, so why not book your caravan or tent at Daisy Bank and join in the fun?

Daisy Bank scoops Loo of theYear Award 2012

Guests at Daisy Bank might not be surprised to hear we received a Loo of the Year Award for 2012, but
even we were surprised and delighted to receive the prestigious 5 star award and the most ecologically friendly loo in Wales! Judges noted the rainwater harvesting system, solar water heating and energy efficient lighting in their decision.
